The 2008 Mining For Hearty of Gold was attended by a Who’s Who of Canada’s Jr. Resource and Mining sectors on November 13 at the Strathcona Hotel in downtown Toronto and raised thousands of dollars for the Sick Kids Foundation. Total figures are still being tallied and will be posted to this website upon completion. Country music entertainment was provided by Dana Johnson while Tommy Greaves and the Bel Airs kept attendees dancing to their rockabilly beat until late into the night. Earlier in the evening Peter Brodie-Brown Sr. piped attendees into the main hall to hear greetings and Thanks You’s from the event sponsor / organizers Shaun Ruddy of RM Communications Inc. and Ian Brodie-Brown of Tribute Minerals. Ian and Shaun thanked everyone for taking the time to participate as well as those corporations and individuals who generously donated during these tough economic times. Plans are already underway to organize the 2009 event. If you would like to volunteer, participate or have any suggestions on how the event can be improved upon for next year please contact al@rmc.mobi. |
